Coach - Steven Silgailis

Since 1973, Cypress Community College has included Wheelchair Basketball as part of its athletics program. This team plays against other teams in the Southern California area and participates in out-of-state tournaments.

The Cypress Wheelchair Chargers are part of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association and must pay annual dues to be part of this.

Each year, we look forward to serving new disabled students as part of our organization. With each new member, items such as jerseys, wheelchair replacement items, and other necessities become crucial to assist with our program.

In addition, the Cypress Wheelchair Chargers compete in tournaments both in and out of state. Unlike other, mor financially stable organizations, players are responsible for handling their own transportation and hotel fares.
