Gary Polk comes from a long history of basketball coaching most recently as the head boys basketball coach at South Pasadena high school. Polk was also an assistant at Cal State Dominguez Hills where he was the recruiting coordinator for two years. As a varsity women’s coach, Polk spent two years each at Whitney and Long Beach Jordan reaching the CIF quarterfinals with Whitney. As a player, Polk played basketball and track at Gardena high before moving on to Azusa Pacific on the JV squad. He earned his bachelors from Loyola Marymount in business administration and a masters from Dominguez Hills.
