OCC Brings Down the Lady Chargers

Costa Mesa, Calif. – Cypress falls to second in the conference as OCC beat them 84-76. Sophomore guard Brittany Imaku dished out 10 assists with 8 points of her own in the effort.

This game ended the Charger's shortest win streak of the year with only one game between this loss and the loss against Riverside. OCC came out shooting and started the game with a 14-2 lead. The Chargers were only behind by 5 at half-time and brought it back to even early in the second half, but Pirates turned up the scoring and ended the game with an 8 point lead on 52% shooting from the floor. Freshman forward Ana Fakatou led the Chargers with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore guard Mia Seagraves dropped in 15 points while Rosalyn Omoruyi put in 12.

The Chargers now head into their last week of regular season play and face Santa Ana Wednesday at 5:30 at Santa Ana College.
