Merced, Calif. - Down early, it looked grim for the Chargers as they were down 13 at half. Led by sophomore forward Ana Fakatou, the Lady Chargers came out in the second half to score 50 points for a 34 point turnaround to win 77-56. The comeback was bolstered in the second half with some key play by the bench. Head coach Margaret Mohr commented, "I thought we did a poor job in the first half of putting in place our game plan. I was pleased and encouraged with how we were able to implement our game plan to win the game in the second half." Freshman forward Brandi Thomas was a force inside scoring 12 points while sophomore guard Marinna Figueroa contributed from the outside hitting 2 key 3-point field goals in the second half. The Charger starting freshman backourt of Marissa Bravo and Corianne Felix combined for 9 points and 5 assists. Sophomore forward Paula Reed was 2-3 from the field for 6 points.
