Glendora, Calif. - After dropping their first game to Reedley, Cypress has come back to win three in a row with their most recent win over Chaffey 73-67 at the Citrus Crossover. Cypress charged to a lead early and held on to win by 6. Sophomore forward Ana Fakatou led all scorers with 17 points in just 15 minutes.
The Chargers struggled to stretch their lead after coming out with a strong start. Freshmen guard Anureet Dhaliwal added key scores with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Freshman forward Sheila Ho-Ching came off the bench to add 9 points and 5 rebounds while freshman forward De'Andrea Jones grabbed 6 rebounds, 1 block, and 2 steals in just 9 minutes. Freshmen guards Marissa Bravo and Brae Butler combined for 17 points on the night.
Cypress will now face Citrus College at 5:00 pm Sunday night at Citrus. Citrus is 2-1.
