Ventura, Calif. – The Chargers start the Ventura Crossover challenge with a win over Oxnard 66-54 to improve their record to 7-2. Sophomore forward Rosalyn Omoruyi lead all scorers with 19 points while sophomore guard Mia Seagraves was 64% from the floor for 17 points.
The Chargers’ 21 point lead at half-time allowed Cypress to experiment with different line-ups and sets. “It was a good chance to see different players on the floor and to continue to improve as a team,” said head coach Margaret Mohr. Sophomore guard Brittany Imaku distributed on offense with 9 assists while freshman forward Ana Fakatou stole the ball 5 times.
The Chargers will face 13th ranked rivals Ventura at the Ventura crossover Wednesday December 22nd at 7:00 pm.
