Cypress Highlights: Reed was a team captain her sophomore year playing in 32 games and starting 20. Reed pulled down 147 boards to end her career with 306 rebounds. She increased her scoring to 123 points in her sophomore season. Against Orange Coast, Reed matched up with the Pirates posts to score 8 points and grab 10 rebounds and 2 assists. Against Sequioas, Reed reached a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in just 21 minutes of play.

As a freshman, Reed was a force inside as the Charger’s starting center for their run to the state championship. She played in all 28 of the Charger’s 2004-05 games. Reed averaged 3.1 points per game and pulled down 159 rebounds. She scored 101 points on the season with a season high 12 against Santa Ana and was close to a double-double against American River at the Lady Charger Classic pulling down 14 rebounds and scoring 9 points. Her leadership and performance have earned her the position of Captain on this year’s squad.

High School Highlights: Reed played one varsity season at Savanna High School in Anaheim. She was a key reserve for the Rebels, averaging eight points and 10 rebounds per contest. Reed helped lead the team to the Orange League championship with an unbeaten record. On the junior varsity squad for three seasons, she averaged 22 points per game in her junior season and was selected the team’s Most Valuable Player as a junior. Reed was also a member of the varsity track and field team for three seasons competing in the shot put and discus throw. Reed was a member of her school’s Black Student Union for four years, serving as the club’s president as a senior.

Personal: Born January 16th, 1985. Parents are Barry and Terry Reed. Brother is Nathaniel. Interests include talking on the phone shopping and going to church.
