Chargers to Face Bakersfield in First Round of Playoffs

Cypress, Calif. – The brackets are set, Cypress will match-up with Bakersfield first in their quest to reach the state tournament. The Chargers will host the visiting Renegades Saturday night (2/26) at 7:00 pm. The pairings were released Monday and Cypress landed at the 5th seed in the Southern Region. The other two teams in the Chargers' bracket are Cerritos and Mt. San Antonio.
The Lady Chargers will look to better their effort from last year when they reached the Regional Finals and fell to this year's first seed Pasadena. Cypress will have to win two games to reach the State Tournament in San Diego. If Cypress beats Bakersfield, they will face the winner of the Mt. San Antonio and Cerritos game.
This will be the first time this season that Cypress and Bakersfield will meet. Cypress has also not played Mt. San Antonio this season and has lost once to Cerritos.
