Ana Fakatou Signs Letter of Intent to Nebraska University

Rosalyn Omoruyi Fakatou has committed to Nebraska University.
Ana Fakatou will be a Nebraska Husker next year.

Merced, Calif. - Returning sophomore and team captain Ana Fakatou has signed her letter of intent to play for Nebraska University next season. Fakatou will play out her last two years of eligibility for the Cornhuskers. All Fakatou had to say was, "I'm really excited to be a Husker next year."

Fakatou signed her letter of intent among teammates and coaches at a team dinner after beating Oxnard in Merced. "I'm so excited and proud of Tonga (Ana). I'm excited to see her play a sport she loves and complete her education" said Cypress head coach Margaret Mohr. Fakatou helped lead Cypress to a State Championship averaging 16.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game earning conference MVP and First-Team All-League. Nebraska competes in the Big 12 and is coached by Connie Yori. The Long Beach Wilson graduate will begin her career for the Huskers in the 2006-07 season.
