"Take care of your body with steadfast fidelity. The soul must see through these eyes alone, and if they are dim, the whole world is clouded."
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Physical fitness is the cornerstone of healthy living and wellness. When partnered with nutrition and proper rest, phsyical activity leads to an overall healthy well being. My goals as a physical education instructor are to not only educate students on the canon fundmentals of physical fitness, but to use my courses as gateways to exploring the dymanics living a healthy lifestyle.

A little bit about myself . . .

As a former student/athlete at Cypress College, I am very proud to be a part of the teaching faculty where I began my academic and athletic career. After finishing my collegiate soccer career at Cypress College, I received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Health Promotion at California State University, Fullerton. Subsequently I earned a Master's Degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University. I began teaching at Cypress College in 2000 and have taught numerous classes in the Physical Education Department.

In addition to being an instructor at Cypress College, I am also the women's soccer head coach. I take great pride in being part of a lauded athletic department and am extremely proud of the 2004 campaign which yielded a California State Championship title. Prior to joining the teaching faculty at Cypress College, I served as a Recreation Supervisor with the City of Cerritos Community and Safety Services Department.

I believe strongly in the tenets of both education and public service. It is an honor to serve as an educator at a revered community college and a privilege to teach students the wonderful benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.
